Do it your way

Dear Editor

Re: A family’s daily struggle at Sa’aga

There is no doubt that poverty is in Samoa. I can only hope for the best for these families facing living difficulties. The Samoan government like any other government, does not care about these conditions.

The only other way to improve living conditions for these poor families, is not to give up on your kids education no matter how hard it is to pay their fees, they are the key because they have seen the hardship and they will strive in school to have a better future for their parents.

No matter how long it takes it will pay off in the end.

I only speak from experience like many of us who grew up poor, we saw and felt how hard it is to live without food and money to survive some days.

There is so much for me to say, but I want to keep this short.

My family now have a better living conditions because of all the hard work my parents did to put me through to succeed in school.

The government did not give us money or help; we did it our way by having patience and praying to God for his blessings.
