The Manu Samoa Old Boys Association (M.S.O.B.A.) are throwing their support behind the Manu Samoa team ahead of the World Cup qualifying game this Saturday against Germany.

The rugby alumni have pledged NZ$1000 (T$1,750) towards the Manu Samoa campaign to qualify for the 2019 World Cup in Japan. The President of M.S.O.B.A., Toleafoa Tupuola Andy Aiolupotea, extended his well wishes to the team on behalf of their international rugby alumni.

“We give our support to the Manu Samoa team and wish them well for their World Cup qualifying game against Germany this Saturday. Ia manuia lava fuafuaga mo le lumana’i o Manu Samoa.”

In Samoan, the M.S.O.B.A President wanted to directly express a note of encouragement on behalf of their association based in New Zealand.

“Manu Samoa! Ave atoa lou ola mo Samoa. E viia ai le Atua i lou valaauina. Ole fatu lau a’upega, ae ole poto male loto matala lau talita, Pouliuli lou tino ae malamalama ou mata Tu’i atu le mulipapaga ma tapuaia lau faatamasoaliiga, ia a’e ma le manuia lou saili malo Manu Samoa. The M.S.O.B.A. was launched a year ago in Auckland, New Zealand, after it was set up to acknowledge all members who represented the Manu Samoa and their affiliation to Samoan Rugby.

The current membership of M.S.O.B.A. is made up of ex-players in different professions whose goals are to increase and capitalise on their corporate network for the advancement of Manu Samoa Rugby through future developments and fundraising initiatives.
