NEW YORK (AP) — Kevin Kline is returning to Broadway in a delightfully frantic comedy about a narcissistic actor and the chaos that inevitably erupts in his posh London household.

The Oscar and Tony Award winner will star in Noel Coward's "Present Laughter." Opening night is set for April 5 at the St. James Theatre.

The play will be directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, who recently directed Robert Askins' "Hand to God."

Klein's recent Broadway credits include "Cyrano de Bergerac," ''Henry IV" and "Ivanov." He won Tony Awards for "The Pirates of Penzance" and "On the Twentieth Century." His movies include "Sophie's Choice," ''The Big Chill," ''A Fish Called Wanda," ''In & Out" and "Dave."
