MORE STRATEGIC NETWORKING NEEDED: The smiles say it all after two weeks of training. More than 20 Pacific delegates taking their freshly-earned workshop certificates home to 12 Pacific nations are keen to see F.F.A. roll out more training like this, for more of their colleagues. 

Samoa was represented by August Ah Yen of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Maria Fiasoso Sapatu of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

Feedback from the two-week Regional Trade, Policy and Investment Appraisal Training Course held at the F.F.A. Conference Centre in Honiara, Solomon Islands, say the importance of strategic networking in-country on Fisheries issues should be shared across more sectors, not left for Fisheries officials to shoulder.

Meanwhile, delegates can take heart from the new friendships, experiences and learning shared as they celebrated their formal closing and prepped for the next phase: applying the new ways of seeing Fisheries to their home contexts.
