Foto Eyeland is celebrating a milestone this week. Founded by Tuimatafele Fritz Tuiavii-Savai’inaea, Foto Eyeland began in Savai’i at the Bluebird Mall Salelologa on 23rd June 2001.

As a professional photographer, Fritz completed a four year training course at Auckland Institute of Technology and Auckland University of Technology where he graduated with Diploma in photographic technology.

He then started Fritz’s Outdoor Photography and Things in 1989 in Auckland. He moved to Samoa and set up business in Savaii because he saw a need for a photographic lab in Savaii and catering for Salafai community.

Foto Eyeland do professional photography for weddings, bestowing, funerals, family  reunions and passport photos. They also provide framing and laminating, restoration of old damage photos.

Now 15 years later Fritz has now opened a new branch at the Fugalei market in addition to the Salelologa Market outlet.

On the sporting scene, Fritz is also a passionate Rugby League enthusiast and is the Secretary General for Rugby League Samoa.

This year also marks 30 years of the game in Samoa and will be celebrated on 8th of October 2016 at Apia Park stadium with the Toa Samoa playing Fiji Bati for an Historical Rugby League test match. Fritz is from the villages of Apia, Sataoa and Salailua.
