Three staff members of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and a member of the private sector have become accredited Valuation License holders.

The achievement for Peleti Salanoa, Alfred Lua, Ioane Evalu and Reupena Valu was celebrated on Friday afternoon at the M.N.R.E’s office at the T.A.T.T.E building.

The ceremony followed seven years of hard work for each of the officers where they had to study, pass exams and observe the work being done.

The Associate Minister of M.N.R.E, Faumuina Tiatia Liuga, congratulated them for their hard work.

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of M.N.R.E, Latafale Felisita Ikenasio-Heather, joined the Associate Minister in congratulating the officials.

“There are not many people in this profession and there is a need to increase members to be part of the Valuation profession,” said Latafale.

Latafale said the new Valuers had spent a lot of time with their Principal Valuer, Faanino Warren. The four new members bring the number of licensed Valuers to 11 in Samoa.
