The biggest boxing event in Samoan history was a huge success.
And thanks to TV3’s live coverage; every person in Samoa was able to tune in to watch Lupesoliai Laauli Joseph Parker knock out American southpaw, Jason Bergman.
The Faleata Sports Complex was filled to capacity with 2000 passionate Samoan fans, and the sound of their Parker chants echoed throughout the gym.
But for those who couldn’t make it, they did not miss out.
TV3 took the excitement of the night to everyone’s living rooms with their live television coverage of the whole event.
And for those who couldn’t stay awake to watch Lupesoliai take down his American opponent, TV3 ran replayed screenings the next afternoon.
TV3’s Owner, Hans Joachim Keil, was thrilled with the success of the fight, and of TV3’s continuing dedication to bringing all of Lupesoliai’s fights to the people of Samoa.
“The fight coverage was very successful,” he said. “Everybody was watching; everybody.”
The company expressed their gratitude to the Duco Events team and were honoured and extremely happy to be a part of the Lupesoliai fight.
“The result on the night was fantastic, we’re so proud of him,” Mr. Keil told the Samoa Observer.
And according to TV3, no Samoan will miss out on a Lupesoliai fight, no matter where it’s hosted.
“If everything goes according to plan, Joseph will have a world title fight by the end of the year and TV3 will be there to broadcast it live,” he said.
TV3 has also committed themselves to working closely with Duco Events in the future, to bring more events like this to Samoa, and to broadcast the wide range of talented Samoan sportspeople to the entire nation.
