A man from Satapuala is the proud owner of a 2016 Hyundai Tucson thanks to Hyundai Samoa and Digicel.

But Taoa Faraimo Asu will have to get some driving lessons first and a license before he can enjoy his new car.

Mr. Asu was drawn as the winner of the $1 texting promotion run by the two companies during the past few months. The presentation was held at the S.N.P.F Plaza where Mr. Asu could not have asked for a better Christmas present.

Hyundai Samoa Executive Manager, Simon Fruean, and Dgicel’s C.E.O, Rory Condon, congratulated Mr. Asu.

For Mr. Asu, he said the feeling of owning a brand new vehicle had yet to sink in. “I didn’t expect to win the car,” he said.

“This is a great Christmas present for my family and I am over the moon.

“When Digicel called me on Wednesday and said I won the car, I was speechless. I didn’t expect this and it seemed very unreal. “I thought I was dreaming until today when I walked here and saw that it is true I actually won the car.” Mr. Asu said he had spent more than $100 on the promotion. “All that money I spent on the promotion has paid off,” he said. “I won the car but I don’t know how to drive so I guess I’m going to learn how to drive and get myself a license first.“Thank you to Digicel and also Hyundai for this wonderful Christmas present.”
