DREAM BECOMES A REALITY: Miss Samoa centered with Lovelani’s owner and her pageant Adeline Lagimaina Hunkin to her left.

Brilliance is often born out of simplicity.

It takes a certain level of awareness coupled with courage and tenacity to take an idea and make it a reality.

Luckily, Adeline Lagimaina Hunkin, of Apia embodies each of these characteristics.

Nicknamed Lani by family and close friends, Adeline is the type of woman whom the word talented is an understatement.

And for your information, she is no longer Samoa’s fashion designers best kept secret, after this jewellery designer took the local fashion circles by storm this year with her big dreams, big heart, and bold collection.

She stamped her mark sponsoring a winner in the biggest ever beauty spectacle in the land, the Miss Samoa Pageant.

Yes, it’s a fact and it’s boldly in scripted in the Miss Samoa Pageant’s history books, Adeline’s Lovelani sponsored the reigning Miss Samoa.

From an early age, Lani says that she felt a force like gravity pulling her towards the world of fashion.

And in doing so at this year’s Miss Samoa, the little unknown fashion wizard from Apia has gone full circle.

During her eight years with then SamoaTel and now BlueSky Samoa, Lani singlehandedly was in charge of naming rights on behalf of SamoaTel for the pageant.

Than spending three years with the Samoa Tourism Authority as Events Coordinator she was in the core committee organising the Miss Samoa Pageant.

Committed to bringing her dreams to life, she sponsored a contestant this year and that contestant took it home winning the Miss Samoa crown.

It’s this special breed of determination that has made her adoring all the while maintaining that cool reputation.

“I wish Priscilla the best of success in her quest to capture the Miss Pacific Islands silverware.”

“Thanks to her, I have gone full circle in my fashion designing career.”

“I have full confidence that with the Samoa Events Incorporated and our country blessings, we have a fighting chance to return the Miss Pacific Islands crown to where it belongs, at home here in Samoa,” said Lani.
