Samoan Highland Hideaway is hosting its first ever retreat to help people learn how to live a Whole Food Plant Based Lifestyle, a lifestyle that has been shown to prevent and even reverse obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
Tim Walkden-Brown of the Samoan Highland Hideaway has been following the Whole Plant Food Based Lifestyle for 6 months and said his health had greatly improved since making the switch as well as loosing 8 kg in the process.
“I’m completely dedicated to this way of life, I’ve never felt better,” said Mr. Walkden-Brown.
“I’m so pleased to be able to bring together a dedicated and professional team to put this retreat together, so many people in Samoa can benefit from this lifestyle and this is our way to help show how it can be done.”
Participants at the retreat will be given demonstrations on how to prepare quick and easy Whole Plant Food Based meals that nourish the body and support health.
Presentations on the benefits of this lifestyle will be given throughout the two and a half days by Dr. Walter Vermeulen, who is promoting Whole Food Plant Based nutrition in Samoa.
The retreat includes everything people need to experience and transition to a healthier lifestyle.
Accommodation, all meals, presentations and cooking demonstrations are all included. Furthermore, participants will return home with a Personal Plan of Action and a Samoan Cuisine Cookbook to help them transition to and follow, a Whole Food Plant Based Lifestyle.
