Manamea’s art exhibition “ The New Samoa: Samoa Fou” officially opened yesterday evening to the public at their studio in Vaigaga. A principal painting in the collection by artist Lalovai Peseta, features a portrait of Prime Minister Tuilaepa.

A 40-year-old father has admitted raping his 16-year-old biological daughter twice. The matter was presented before Supreme Court Justice Tafaoimalo Leilani Tuala-Warren. She issued a suppression order on the name of the defendant.

Church pays $1.7 million annually for loan

The Congregational Christian Church of Samoa’s annual payment of $1.7 million to the Samoa National Provident Fund (S.N.P.F.) for their $15.11 million loan should be reconsidered. That is the recommendation by the Komiti o Feau Eseese in their report leaked to the media. The loan from the S.N.P.F. was to assist with the building of the Jubilee Church project and other developments.

That is what the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Leausa Dr. Take Naseri told the Commission of Inquiry appointed by Cabinet to consider the proposed organisational structure for the re-merge of the National Health Services and Ministry of Health.
