WHAT KEEPS US AWAKE AT NIGHT

These matters (and others) are leaving us bleary-eyed and grumpy during the day:

When is the tourist resort opening in Savaii in La’auli Leuatea Polataivao’s constituency? Our sei’s and ula pua’s are now dried arrangements.

If you have to wait in line at the A.N.Z. bank for 45 minutes and more, is that still called Customer Service? We have heard customers use other words and we’re confused.

Are the P.M.'s words of encouragement to the rugby 7’s players, “Have the heart of a Toa” a subliminal reference and comparison to our fabulous Toa Samoa team?

Is a golf handicap now an entry requirement for applications to become a church minister? And does a lower handicap ensure promotion?

Will the many, many, participants in the Leadership programme leave us with a country of “too many chiefs and not enough Indians”?

If my children have a spat at school, will their school still be open tomorrow? We need to know so they don’t try to engineer extra weeks of holiday.

Do I need to rename my church the “Christian Islamic Church of Samoa” to be formally recognised?

When will Cross Island Road be re-surfaced and who should we pay?

If big buildings are a measure of the wealth of our nation, are big people, a measure of the health of our nation, too?

Why are 30 year olds still part of youth groups and will they ever grow up?
