For Samu Galuega, 20, from the village of Faleata and Vaitele one of the biggest issues he faces right now is a lack of money..

Staying home because he can’t afford school fees, Samu says that no matter how smart you are and how hard you try to get to university, without money it won’t happen.

“A big problem we face is that we don’t have enough money to continue on with school,” he told the Village Voice.

“I quit school last year, because I didn’t know where to get $1,500 for each semester.

“To be honest it’s not easy to find your way up and when you finally get there, you face the worse nightmare of where to get the money from.

“So for me, I am better off just staying home to help out with the chores.

“I admit that life isn’t that easy.

“If you’re not educated, well you’re surely going to suffer.

“So, for me, with both my parents in heaven, and some of my siblings with their own families, all I can  hope for is to find a job soon.

“I may not have finished school but I know how hard life is and I will give my best at work, anywhere anytime.

“I try and plant some taro around the house to try and help out where I’m needed.

Samu went on to say all he hopes is that he will find a job soon.

“I don’t have any money, some of my families share food with me but I don’t want to keep on depending on them for the rest of my life.

“So while I wait for a job I’m trying to develop a small plantation.

“It’s not an easy task because I don’t have someone to help me, I do it myself.

“There’s nothing easy about working the lands. Every part of planting is hard for me but I will not stop because this is the only option I have got.

“There’s nothing easy in this life.

Samu is currently looking for a job and he is willing to work hard.
