Many organizations have been lending a hand to the Samoa Offering Hope (S.O.H) Charitable Trust for victims of the Flea Market fire.

Yesterday was the last day to contribute to the Trust that was launched by caretaker Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, through which many organizations have helped with donations.

At the Samoa Tourism Authority Office, the Rotary Club donated $2,000.

President Elect of the Rotary Club, Fitiao Susan Faoagali said the club has tried to help out in all sorts of ways.

“Our theme for this year is ‘Be a Gift to the World’,” she said.

“We try to be a gift in all sorts of different ways not just with money; however in this case we are very happy to donate 2,000 tala.

“We are very happy to support small businesses in particular and the community in Samoa as one of our projects.

“We are a small club but we do fundraising and some key projects in Samoa that you know about like the school books and water tanks.”

Adele Kruse, founder of Samoa Offering Hope, acknowledged the support from the club.

“We are so pleased that you are partnered with us in this effort,” she said.

“We know that Rotary Club works tirelessly to be a contributor to the community and we love your theme and we thank you so much for being part of this organization and the efforts to contribute to the Flea Market.

“So we thank you very much for your support.”
