'Ice' possession accused told to find a lawyer

The Supreme Court has given a man accused of possession of ‘ice’ two weeks to find a lawyer.

Teremoana Dan Tumama faces charges of possession of methamphetamine (ice), two counts of possession of marijuana and one charge of possession of utensils.

He appeared before Supreme Court Justice Mata Keli Tuatagaloa yesterday.

The prosecutor is Fatumanavaupolu Ofisa Tagaloa, of the Attorney General’s Office.

 “You don’t have to answer to the charges against you but wat until you find a lawyer,” Justice Tuatagaloa told him yesterday.

“Bail is also granted as prosecution does not oppose bail on these conditions.

“Firstly, you must sign in at the Faleata Police Office on Mondays and Fridays every week.

“Secondly you must hand in all travel documents today before you go are released on bail.

“Thirdly you must return to court on the 16th October with your lawyer to enter a plea.”
