Blaire Newton is from Auckland New Zealand.

This is his first time in Samoa.

He is an engineer by profession.

The Dear Tourist caught up with Mr. Newton while he was enjoying the hot sun and the breeze air at Vaisigano yesterday.

“I’m only here for a week so I will be leaving this coming Friday,” he said.

“It’s lunch time and I’ve decided to come and sit here and enjoy the weather because back home its blooming cold so it’s good to come to the Pacific island around this time.”

Blaire said Samoa is a great place.

“It’s beautiful and the people are friendly,” he said.

“Like before I was sitting here when some people just stopped by to say hello I mean we don’t get back home, but here it’s always good to talk to some local people.”

“I love the weather it’s not too hot but it’s breezy.”

Mr. Newton told the Dear Tourist he would like to return as a tourist.

“I want to bring my family over for holiday,” he said.

“However, for the time being I will try and go to as much places as I can and so that I will know what to expect when I bring my family over for holiday.”

“I want to take them to the other side where the tsunami hits and go around Samoa.”

“But for the time being I’m enjoying every moment of this trip, I love the Vailima beer it’s so local and the people are just making it fantastic.”

“I will definitely recommend Samoa to my mates and who knows maybe we will be travelling together with them when we come for holiday.”
