The descendants of the late Nikolao Tiaono and his wife, Fa’ainu, of Afega and Vailele, gathered for a very special occasion this week.

The three-day reunion at Vailele brought relatives from New Zealand, Australia, United States and American Samoa home.

Family representative, Le’aupepe Paulo told the Sunday Samoan said the reunion is all about building relationships and thanksgiving.

“This is our second reunion, the first one was last year and we are looking forward to continue this great gathering every year,” said Leaupepe.  The theme of the reunion is ‘To rejoice in the Lord’ for He has done great things.

“It has been such a great opportunity for us to bring together our children not only in Samoa but also from other countries in the world. “The idea is that no matter where in the world they (our children) might end up, they will know exactly where they come from.

The late Nikolao Tiaono and and his wife, Fa’ainu have six children.
