I offer my herein assessment regarding subject issue:
A. Sample of a very basic department flow chart to encapsulate a direct approach method as well as streamlining numerous functions that could be tedious in the merging process.
B. Factored in the most critical “unit/headings” that have direct impact to patient care, community, and governing body(ies) i.e. accountability, transparency; reporting, and tracking.
C. There is one department structure and various division sub categories. Each sub division functions independently but supports the department’s structural goals and objectives.
D. The relationship between each “category” is one of interconnectedness, and the flow of informational data contributes to forming a cohesive bond. This translates to efficiency and qualitative results.
E. The issues and concerns that have been brought up should be viewed as a healthy dose of human weakness that leads to broken promises and disruptive discourse. Create practical solutions that are realistic.
Those who are in leadership positions should exercise the “Servant” and hands-on approach rather than “too many chiefs and not enough Indians” method.
Support your team, department, and division at every level. Work for and with the people. It helps to lighten the burden of your day-to-day responsibilities.
