Unwavering faith. That was the theme of a three-day camp for young women of the Apia Samoa Central Stake.

Held at Sauniatu last week, more than fifty young women attended the camp.

Stake President Hans Jason Ignatius Joseph conducted a short service to officially open the camp.

Young Women Stake President, Makerita Adeline Key, said it was amazing to see young women rise up for God.

“The purpose of this annual camp is for our young women to strengthen their faith in their Heavenly Father and in their Savoir Jesus Christ,” she said.

“Not only that but to strengthen their relationships with one another, to learn more about being self-reliant and to appreciate our nature and God’s creations.”

“Since we have been called as the stake young women presidency of our Apia Samoa Central Stake, this is our second stake annual camp held in our stake.”

Close to a hundred young women attended the camp.

“The drive was to uplift the ‘Faith’ of each of our young women, for each of them to stand firm with strong immovable faiths when they are challenged with life’s difficulties.”

“We had different programs implemented for our 3 days camp; all our programs were prayerfully planned so that our young women could have a lasting spiritual experience beyond our camp days.”

“On our Day 2, we had 4 workshops with M.N.R.E., Stress Free, Red Cross and Education.”

“Our stake young women presidency, our camp leaders, together with the counsel of our Stake Presidency, President Joseph, President Vaiaoga and President Fuimaono were all present.”
