With today being the last day of the Samoa Offering Hope (S.O.H) Charitable Trust for the victims of the flea market, Samoa Stationery and Books (S.S.A.B) offered its assistance yesterday.

At S.S.A.B’s Megastore at Togafu’afu’a, Managing Director, Fiti Leung Wai, donated $5,000 to the cause. She said $2,000 came from the company’s Social Club called the “Get along Club.”

“The Get along Club is S.S.A.B’s all boys club,” she said.

“They wanted to help out the victims of the Savalalo Flea Market so they donated $2,000. The other $3,000 is from the rest of us here at S.S.A.B.”

Mrs. Leung Wai said S.S.A.B is all about giving and helping people.

“When this incident happened, it really saddened me as a business person,” she said.

She said she thought about her business going up in flames and how that would impact on her employees.

“ I prayed to God to comfort all the business people especially the people who work there who have no jobs.

“I also feel for them because one of the victims is my niece Tamarina Pupi and her husband Anetele’a.

“It’s good that we are giving this money to put to good use and be shared amongst all the victims.”

She encourages the victims of the flea market to never give up hope and always have faith in God.

Adele Kruse, the Chairperson of Samoa Offering Hope thanked Mrs. Leung Wai and her team for their generosity.
