Police Inspector, Tole’afoa Keti Tole’afoa appeared in the Supreme Court before Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asue Falefatu Sapolu yesterday.
The charges against Toleafoa were not disclosed in Court.
The lawyer for the Prosecution, Lucy Sio, of the Attorney General’s Ofice, instead asked the Court for a two-week adjournment so they could finalise the charges.
At that point, Chief Justice Patu asked Inspector Tole’afoa if he would like a lawyer to represent him.
In response, Tole’afoa said he has already approached lawyer, Leota Raymond Schuster, to act for him.
Asked why Leota was not in Court, Tole’afoa said he was overseas.
His Honour Patu then granted the application by the prosecution for an adjournment. The matter has been rescheduled for 8 February 2016.
