More than 250 delegates are in the country to attend the Commonwealth Telecommunication Organization (C.T.O) Pacific Broadband Forum 2017.

The meeting opens at 9am at the T.A.T.T.E Convention Centre today.

Deputy Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata’afa is scheduled to open the conference.

According to information provided by organisers of the meeting, the Commonwealth Broadband Pacific Forum 2017 will acknowledge the crucial role of the network as the platform to help transform community life. 

It will review how communities are connected, administered and managed to achieve social, economic and environmental sustainability. 

This year’s event will examine areas including the development of national broadband strategies and relevant technologies, while also focusing on applications and data.

This will be a two-day conference featuring an exhibition with presentations and interactive panel discussions during the conference.

The Conference will be attended by over 250 delegates from Samoa and overseas and is a joint collaboration between the C.T.O, Ministry of Communications and information Technology and the Office of the Regulator.
