Selefuti Paevai of Faleula-uta needs a job.

The carpenter has been unemployed since last year when he was laid off.

A father of two, Selefuti told the Village Voice team the daily struggles of not having a stable job.

“I have been looking for a job ever since I was laid off last year.”

“As the head of the family, it is my duty to provide for my family’s needs, but recently I have failed in that area given that I don’t have a job.

“So if any company is looking for a reliable and hardworking employee, I am your man,” he said.

“I am a carpenter for more than 10 years.”

The father said his wife works, but her salary is not enough given they have family, village and church obligations.

Selefuti said he works on his plantation to help his family, but he needs a steady job.

“Not being able to give money when my family needs it the most is a burden for me day in and day out.

“I just hope someone who needs a worker can offer me a job.

“I have two children to provide for and I haven’t been doing that since last year and it’s bothering me,” said Selefuti.

If you want to offer Selefuti a job, you can reach him at 775-7775.
