The Kindest cut campaign

Together we can make a difference by changing lives with love.

This is a mission for Coralie Allen, founder of The Kindest Cut campaign from Sydney, Australia.

This is the third time for Coralie to visit Samoa, not only to provide free haircuts but also send over a container full of food, clothes and kitchen utensils for the children at the Campus of Hope, Tuanaimato.

“The reason why I want to help is simply because I fell in love with the children the first time I came to Samoa,” Coralie said.

“I share a connection with them because I have been in their shoes and I know how it feels to go through a traumatic experience.

“I started my campaign with providing free haircuts for the homeless people with the sole purpose of changing lives - one haircut, one conversation, one prayer at a time to simply help those and love those in need.”

Coralie said the items in the container were collected through various fundraisers and also donations from people.

“In collaboration with the Samoa Victim Support Group (S.V.S.G.), through the president of S.V.S.G., Siliniu Lina Chang, we also distributed some of the goods from the containers to families that are also struggling in rural areas,” she said.

“For me, I am driven by faith as well, with the things that I do are all from God, in all honesty most of the time I do not know what I am doing but he always provides a way.

“I am also thankful to my brother Robbie Allen in helping me in so many ways but also families, friends and my church in Sydney,” she said.

Coralie was assisted by Peata Pula, the owner of Peata’s Salon, in cutting more than 20 hairs at the campus.

“These children need love and it is what we can do that can change their frowns into beautiful smiles than it is worth helping.

“This is my second time helping Coralie and we want to inspire others to help in any way whether it is through giving food or a service of inspiration to the lives of these young kids.”
