Your idle threats

Dear Editor,

Re: Report Positive News

The name Hollywood conjures up images of light hearted comedy, which is what this letter is all about.

Let me tell you a story about what I saw at the makeki the other day.

A young man was spouting all kinds of rubbish at his friends. The young man thought his views were fantastic, well formulated and properly articulated. His friends thought otherwise and told him so.

The situation was about to escalate when the young man’s mother stepped in and apologised on behalf of his son and this was part of the apology. If my son hadn’t opened his mouth I wouldn’t have known how dumb he was.

Heed this lesson Hollywood.

Your idle threats based on your limited understanding of Samoan culture and gafa’s are shallow, if not laughable - light entertainment as your name suggests.

Enjoy the warmth of Brisbane and leave the serious business of letter writing to those who are left behind in paradise.
