“We must work while it is day.”

This is the theme of the Assembly of God’s 48th Conference being held at Lotopa this week.

General Secretary of the Church, Ps. Faumuinā Alofa said the turn out has been great.

“Normally, this week is about youth programmes,” he said.

“Not only that, but for members to participate in lots of Bible studies, skits and sharing about many of the issues that they need to look at to help themselves spiritually and physically.”

The Assembly of God was first established in 1956.

The gathering, according to Ps. Faumuina, is an opportunity to share and look at issues in terms of the development of the church.

“As of today, we have seventy eight churches in Samoa (Upolu and Savai’i) with rough estimations of nearly eight thousand church members.”

“There are 54 here (Upolu) and 24 in Savai’i.”

“This conference is also looking at many issues for the development of the church in Savai’i and to this side (Upolu) of the country.”

“It’s all about working together knowing that God is in control.”

Here are some of the photos from yesterday.
