The Faualo chiefly title was bestowed on Salā Mulitalo Lupe Chan Mow at the village of Apia last Saturday.

It was well attended by families and the Apia Village Council.

The ceremony of the bestowment started off with a church service early in the morning at the Mulivai Cathedral led by Father Falaniko Matulino.

The intricate ceremony and the blessing of it was done by Reverend Toeaina Fiti Aloalii of the Congregational Church of Jesus in Samoa.

During the ceremony Reverend Aloalii reminded the new Faualo holder that God is the center of all things.

In an interview with the Sunday Samoan, Faualo acknowledged the support of her family members, church members and the village chiefs.

“The whole purpose of this new journey is to serve my family,” she said.

“I want to ensure that my family will live in peace and harmony and that is the most important thing.”

“There have been many challenges but I thank the Lord that all is well and everything went according to plan. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and that family is forever.”

Faualo Salā Mulitalo Lupe Cham Mow is the wife of businessman Komisi Chan Mow.
