Brad Thorn to continue pro rugby career at 41

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) — World Cup-winning All Black and dual rugby league and rugby union international Brad Thorn is set to continue his first class career at the age of 41.

Thorn has been named on the bench by Queensland Country for its match against the Western Sydney Rams in Australia's National Rugby Championship on Saturday.

In 22 years as a rugby professional, Thorn has represented Australia at league and New Zealand at union. He was a member of the All Blacks team that won the Rugby World Cup in 2011.

He has played more than 450 matches at first class level and made his professional rugby league debut for the Brisbane Broncos aged 19 in 1994.
