GOING PLACES: The U.N.D.P.-S.D.G. Farm to Table Project implemented by Samoa Women in Business Development Inc. (W.I.B.D.I.), yesterday received a brand new Toyota 4WD pickup, which will greatly facilitate the transport of perishable produce from the farms in outer villages to the main markets.

A short ceremony was held at W.I.B.D.I. training centre at Nu’u on Wednesday 21st September where U.N. Resident Coordinator and U.N.D.P. Resident Representative, Lizbeth Cullity handed over the keys to the pick-up to W.I.B.D.I. Associate Director, Alberta Vitale.

Ms. Vitale acknowledged that U.N.D.P.’s transport assistance was very timely given the abundance of farm produce to be transported during this period of favourable vegetable farming weather.
