Bus driver appears in Court
The driver of the Queen Patsy bus, which crashed last month on Cross Island Road, Faasaomoataeao Tausagi appeared in court yesterday to face a charge of manslaughter.
But the matter has been adjourned for another two weeks for Mr. Tausagi to find himself a lawyer to represent him due to the seriousness of the charges against him.
Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asue Falefatu Sapolu granted the request for Mr. Tausagi to find a lawyer and adjourned the matter until 5 September 2016.
In the meantime, the accused is on bail.
Tausagi is facing the charge of manslaughter, in relation to the death of one of the passengers who passed away two days after the crash.
