Public figure and fight in public

Dear Editor

Interesting story on the front page yesterday. In the story, the Associate Minister said:

“I had a disagreement with my wife, and yes publicly.” The Associate Minister admitted that there was a disagreement between him and his wife.

“Look this was an exchange between my wife and I. I am cautious. This was a personal disagreement with my wife.”

Interesting, a personal disagreement wasn’t in private but in public. You are a public figure and your action will not be hidden, unless you’re smart enough to know not to openly display your personal disagreement.

“So’oalo admitted his wife threw bottles but not at the car. He said he was the target.”

And where were you when the bottles were flying, next or near the government vehicle?

“I don’t want my children to read about our fights on the media and that is why I am a bit reluctant but I have had enough of being ridiculed by posts on social media.”

You both should’ve thought about that.

“Our Minister of Justice and Courts Administration, Faaolesa Katopau Ainuu, will attest to it and many other Ministers.”
