Le Mamea presents token of appreciation

Tuana’imato was the place of traditional formalities on Tuesday morning, prior to the last Parliament session for 2016.

The occasion was the o’o presentation by one of two new members of the Council of Deputies, Le Mamea Ropati Mualia, to the Head of State and Parliament.

His Highness Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi and the Masiofo, Her Highness Filifilia Tamasese were present as well as the Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asue Falefatu Sapolu.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, Speaker of Parliament, Leaupepe Toleafoa Fa’afisi and Members of Parliament were all present. 

The presentation was an expression of appreciation by the former Cabinet Minister, his family and constituents after being appointed a member of the Council of Deputies in January 2016. 

He and another former Cabinet Minister, Tuiloma Pule Lameko joined Tuimalealiifano Sualauvi II as members of the Council.

Members of Parliament and Cabinet expressed gratitude for the respect shown by the Council of Deputy, his constituency and family.
