Time for church elders to resign

Dear Editor,

Rev. Afereti Uili has finally been fully exonerated by the court for the bogus charges brought against him by a wicked liar and fraudster. His former students at Malua Theological College knew he was innocent and felt the pain he had to bear all these long months.

We suffered with him taking pity on him, his lovely wife and daughters.  Why did they have to go through all that?  Because the senile old Elders of our church judged the reverend guilty as charged and sacked him from all the posts he held in the Church without having any proof or evidence.

And these elders call themselves Christians.  We don’t.

Now that Rev. Uili has been exonerated, it is time for the church elders to resign enmasse to take responsibility for the needless pain and suffering they caused the reverend and his family so we can once again have respect for our Church elders.

We have  no respect for these elders so they must go.  Not resigning will only show they have lost their Christian values.

P.R.S.
