Broken promises and government of the day

Dear Editor,

Re: Villager tired of ‘broken promises’

The government continuously wastes resources on trying to establish more fruitless investments such as wharfs, and trying to relocate families from Sogi yet do nothing to the more pressing issues like this.

The current and former MP’s should all be ashamed of themselves because 40 years without running water in a village that’s only 30-40 minutes from Apia is bad!

The Samoan government and its ministries are full of useless public servants. Most are very well educated, but their integrity goes out the door when mixed with old heads that go by the motto “You scratch my back I’ll scratch yours; Gi kakou kupe gae alu ai”

Once in Parliament, they only have one motive; look after their families, stuff the rest. This goes with church leaders too.

A bunch of hypocrites who recite the Bible to get what they want.

For 40 years it’s been like this; has any church in the constituency bothered to raise funds if the government has failed to do their duty?

But they can raise millions in 12 months to build a flash church. The people of Samoa should vote on gut feeling rather than stupidity and vote for the guy who gave them something close to the elections.

Now what? Five more years of moaning?
