Whose reputation is on the line?

Dear Editor,

Re: P.M’s attacks on media

Talofa e isi o’u atunu’u pele. It’s one thing to uphold a reputation; it’s another, to know when your reputation is going to hang you!

This Chastity issue is not new.

Our country just has better media resources now and the internet makes anything accessible at your finger tips.

I don’t think the reports is going to hurt Tourism as much as it’ll hurt the chances of bigger countries investing in our small island nation.

Most of those investment deals are driven by the fact that Samoa has a reputation of being well governed and has paradisiacal beauty.

When we have a full week of chaos in the news, it can easily turn heads and catch the attention of our friendly bloodsuckers.

Sadly, their money keep the wheels turning. Hence the uproar from our leader. Unfortunately, he is but a mere borrower who is trying to keep head above water. (To be fair, for all of us).

So yes, we have a Chastity problem, but nobody cares if that’s our image because every country has a chastity problem far more serious then ours.

(Still not an excuse to not find solutions for the increase rapes, incest and murder). The question now is, whose reputation is on the line?

The country or the Prime Minister?
