The Netball season for four zones in Samoa has ended with a prizegiving held and sponsored by Business Systems Limited (B.S.L) yesterday.

Fourteen schools from different zones, three from Apia and one from Savaii took part in this Year mid-term season of netball held on Tuesday and Thursday at the Tuanaimato Gymnasium.

President of the B.S.L School Netball Championship, Tuave Titi To’a, said the competition would not have been possible without the support of B.S.L.

He said they had stopped the competition in the past because they could not find a sponsor.

But then B.S.L came to the rescue.

“B.S.L offered a trophy and a voucher to each school who participated as well as the winners for this Year’s Netball Tournament. Then we decided to name the tournament as the B.S.L School National Championship 2017.”

Tuave said the competition’s goal is to nurture the young netball talent of Samoa. He said it is through such competitions that future stars can be discovered.

Leeroy Feaunati, Marketing Manager of B.S.L, said the company is delighted to have been able to help. This is their way of giving back to the community.

“We want to help and support these young talented ladies from different schools who participated in this year’s Netball Season,” Leeroy said. “It’s the least we can do by offering a trophy and a voucher for the fourteen schools who participated in this year’s B.S.L School National Championship 2017.”
