Tourism is our hope

Dear Editor,

Re: Distractions, smokescreens and cost of corruption

A much needed warning to all Samoans and especially the government workers. The abuse of resources from borrowed money is not going to last forever.

The end times are near for you the abuser and we the innocent bystanders will be affected as well.

The P.M. and the government is shielding us children of Samoa from the truth that the good times are coming to an end very soon.

All we, the truest lovers of Samoa and its culture can do is warn the abusers and the innocent Samoans to be prepared.

One rotten apu spoils the whole paelo.

Tourism is the only hope of Samoa but it needs to be managed as a “Total System.” A tourist and their partner comes to Samoa after saving plenty of hard earned money from their hard work 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year and just want some time to relax in peace and quiet at Lalomanu beach.

We must treat these visitors with care and respect.

They bring much needed and easy money to Samoa. We must provide these tourists with a “Total Experience” from the time they arrive until the time they leave Faleolo Airport.

We must try our best to do the following things: No dogs biting their leg. No stealing. No abuse. Only give tourists the Samoan alofa they truly deserve. Tourists will only be in Samoa for one or two weeks so we must give our best service to make them so welcome and the money will start rolling out and make Samoa government rich again.
