Members of the public are being warned. A notorious thief is on the run.

Escaped prisoner Tui Samuelu of Manono-tai, Falelauniu-tai and Vailoa is still on the run after he escaped from prison two weeks ago.

The Prison’s Spokesperson, Sagaga Frost said Samuelu escaped two Sundays ago.

“There were two of them that escaped but on that same week, we found the other one but as for Tui Samuelu he is nowhere to be found,” said Sagaga.

“We had information from the people of Salelologa that he was seen in Savai’i on the first week, but when our staff got there they couldn’t find him.

“Another tip we got was that he was seen at Vailoa and Manono but we checked there and he wasn’t there as well.”

Samuelu is a notorious thief.

 “I urge members of the public to please let us know or call the police station if you see him,” he said.

“We have already given photos of him to newspapers and television stations to put up so that the public will know what he looks like.

“He is dangerous and he needs to be in jail because the public is not safe as long as he is out there.”
