Any anniversary is all about celebrating achievements.

For the Sinalei Reef Resort, their 22nd birthday celebrated last weekend at the resort was exactly that and more.

It was an occasion to raise funds for charity.

Sinalei’s anniversary hosted a “dining under the stars” corporate event with Ardijah as the core entertainer on Friday evening. The theme was “Alice in Wonderland.”

Nelson Annandale said: “We wanted to do something different this year at the same time showcase the uniqueness of the Sinalei Reef Resort.

“This is not the first time we have worked with charities and I suppose that it was our anniversary and what other way to celebrate and at the same time raise funds to assist in a good cause.

“This is our commitment to the community to get behind a prestigious organisation that is helping those in dire need of assistance.

“The reason we selected the Goshen Trust Foundation is because they are an accountable, well managed organisation and have done great things in the community.

“We have taken part in the perimeter relay every year, which is basically a group of people who raise funds by walking or running around the island.

“We always either host or have a team.”

The Goshen Trust Mental Health Services Samoa started in 2009 and is a non-profit organization that aims to provide support and care to people who suffer mental health problems and their families.

Its functions include residential treatment facilities, community support to families, upskilling community members in mental health care.
