PROUD NEW TITLE HOLDERS: Some members of the Taua’i family who were bestowed titles yesterday.

The family of Taua’i Lafotanoa Moe at Fasito’o-tai welcomed 18 new matai title holders yesterday during a colorful ceremony at the Faleolefe’e residence.

The titles conferred included Tutuila, Lefeau, Faisopetele, Ali’imalo, Moefiainu and Letoa.

Family representative; Taua’i Tutuila Malaki said yesterday was an exciting day for the family.

“Today is another new chapter to many of our family members from overseas and Samoa,” he said.

“To the new chiefs, we need to work together, we need to have faith in God because he’s there for us every step of the way. Nothing is impossible when we trust in the Lord.” The ceremony ended with traditional formalities. 

 

The titles bestowed:

NEW CHIEFS: Tutuila Kame Taua’i, Lefeau Fa’alili Neru, Aliimalo Matini and Tutuila Va’aiva Maka.

Moefiainu; Ana Leilua

Lefeau; Lusi Ese,Fa’alili Neru.

Faisopetele; Voughan Malaki

Letoa; Mather Sauvao, Victor Maka
