A bunch of locals turned up at Taumeasina Resort late at night one weekend. Like everyone else who go there, they were confronted by an imposing security guard who demanded to know where they were going.
Told they were to pick up someone, he let them through. The only problem was the person who was supposed to be picked up had already left.
So back to the gate and the security guard by now felt that his leg had been pulled.
He comes back to the car, expressing anger at the visitors.
The visitors did not want to argue. They couldn’t be bothered so they pulled out a $100 tala and offered to pay their $40 entrance fee for a one minute drive to the lobby and back.
To his credit, he didn’t take the money.
But to cause all that commotion for a bunch of harmless locals who were genuine about the reason for their visit, what on earth?
Chill dude, there are bigger things in life.
