There’s something about Samoa’s ocean

There’s something about the ocean that captivates Shirley Clarke.

In Christchurch, New Zealand, she lives close to the ocean.

Waking up to the cool sea breeze and sound of the waves crashing onto the seashore is basically the start of her day.

Shirley found something different about the ocean that surrounds Samoa, giving her a whole new perspective of the Ocean’s beauty.

“The ocean here is so beautiful. It is fascinating,” she shared with Dear Tourist.

It’s not her first time in the Pacific, but her first time setting foot on Samoa’s shores.

According to Shirley, Samoa reminds her of Tonga where she worked, managing a small hotel for two years.

“But the water here is much clearer and much bluer,” she said.

Shirley arrived on Saturday with her husband and they will be here for 10 days.

So far, they’ve just been enjoying the Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey’s Beach Resort and the advantages they had on offer.

Shirley describes the staff as happy and very helpful people.

“They really want the guests to feel comfortable here. It seems they are doing more than what their job expects of them. They help out with everything, even when the guests want some extra yogurt for breakfast.”

“They are very pleasant and amazing,” she explained.

Not only is the staff friendly, they’ve also made their stay in Samoa more enjoyable and memorable.

“The free breakfast is just amazing, you can get everything you like, everything. Some people go back to the buffet table three times. You can eat as much as you can.”

“Just over there is a spa and a gym room you can all use for free, it is great,” Shirley explained pointing to where these facilities are located.

“It is nice to use all these facilities without worrying about the budget.”

“We have not planned yet what to do, so this is our second day and we just wanted to relax and enjoy the beautiful sun and the clear blue ocean. To come here and just relax is great,” she shared with Dear Tourist.

The couple plan to visit Apia.

“I would totally recommend coming here and I hope when we are going to Apia and other places, it is going to be just as lovely as here,” Shirley said.

Samoa is definitely not disappointing and it is more than what she expected.

“I could say so much more but we’ve just been here three days. But I am sure there is so much more to tell about this beautiful country,” she said.
