Sunday was a day to remember for the Naea Family.

At the Orator Hotel, they launched the second book by young author Jadyn Ualesi called “Fear to Lose” and celebrated their grandmother, Tima Naea’s  80th birthday.

It was a proud moment for the family.

Jadyn’s mother,Sili’a Kilepoa-Ualesi said the gathering was an opportunity to acknowledge God’s love and his guidance upon their family.

“Fear to Lose,” which took five months to complete, is a drama and romance fiction.

The book follows the story of Zekiah and Jaron who thought that the drama was over once they got rid of Charity, Jaron’s adopted sister, and Jaden, but instead, everything fell apart again when Leila, Jaron’s dead ex-girlfriend, showed up at their front door with her son, Caleb.

“Little did they know, Leila wasn’t the only problem?

“Zekiah’s past was brought back to life when her mother’s secret lover escaped from prison. She knew that she had Jaron to rely on when Wes escaped, but at the same time, she thought that she was also too much for him. Wes wasn’t the only one that’s after Zekiah but also Jaron’s father, Niko, and Zekiah’s ex-boyfriend, Ben.

“What will happen to their engagement if there’s no way out from all these people interfering with their love life?”

Jaydyn Ualesi said one of the key themes of the book is about trust.

“This book shows that no matter how many struggles and fights you go through with the love of your life, you will always make it through with just one pinch, trust.”

Asked what or who inspired her to write such a book, she said: “I always end up getting played in my own love life,” she said.

“Even though I put my trust in them, they still want to play with my feelings and make fun of it to his friends and the reason why they’re players because they’ve been played too and thinking that playing other people’s love would make it okay.”

Ms. Ualesi’s first book called “Fear to Love” was launched last year. The author is studying Business Administrative and Computing Level 4 at Wel Tec in Wellington.
