“I’m one lucky guy” says groom Love is in the air

The beginning of eternity for Momoemausu Bernard and Mataniufeagaimaleata Tunofo was begun over the weekend when they said their, I do’s in Satitoa. 

Bernard, a former Traffic Officer with the Police Service, began his relationship with his wife a year ago. 

“For some reason it feels like we have been together for a very long time,” he said.

“We share a lot of the same interests and I guess that is why we clicked almost immediately.

“I am very fortunate to have married the girl of my dreams and although I work in American Samoa, distance is nothing when it comes to true love.

“I am one lucky guy,” he added. 

Bernard is the son of Tunofo and Seufanafana of Tufutafoe and Fagalii. 

He’s currently a supervisor at Island Lubricant Oil Company on Tutuila Island, while his wife is a local Immigration Officer. 

She is the daughter of Akenese Luafa and Talapa Paulo Misa from Satitoa Aleipata and Sapapali’i. 

The bride quoted - Thomas Merton “Love is our true destiny”. 

“We do not find meaning of life by ourselves alone, we find it with another.” 

“Bernie is my match in every way and while I’m certain that it will not be an easy road ahead, having him by my side makes it so much better in every way,” she said.

The wedding reception was held at the Samoa College Hall.
