Re: Hypocrisy at its best

Will banning “Asian” businesses in selected areas in Samoa actually help those consumers who rely on competitively priced goods that these businesses offer? 

Or will shoppers just travel further to spend within their budget? Perhaps it’s an opportunity for local businesses to adopt a more competitive approach and change the way they operate their trade? 

If your competition is ahead of you, try a different game plan. This could easily apply to S.R.U. of course but that’s another matter! There are many successful local businesses here in Samoa who strive to deliver products and services for locals that meet (and exceed) their customer’s needs.

Maintaining the status quo and hoping that by banning your competitors will somehow improve one’s profitability, is a forlornly flawed strategy.
