The Leulumoega-Fou College Sevens team is ready to defend their title at the Wallis and Futuna 7s tournament next month.

The annual tournament invites different Colleges from seven Pacific countries and last year Samoa received an invitation to join.

Manager Saipani Papali’i is confident about his team’s preparations.

“They are students and we put school first before training,” he said.

Papali’i said the players are willing to give it their all for Samoa.

Coach Etimeni Faamoe believes his players are ready, saying they have been working extremely hard.

“There were small things that we have worked on especially how to discipline them and get them to work as a team.”

Last year, Leulumoega defeated Fiji 24 -14.

The tournament will be held in Wallis and Futuna for two days. The team departs Samoa on 8 August 2016.

Last week, the team visited Digicel Samoa, their main sponsor.
