Thank you.

Those two words summed up Aiga Malaga’s feelings perfectly when she spoke with the Village Voice yesterday.

The 47-year-old of Fasito’o-uta was featured in the Village Voice with a request to the public for a job. Today she is an employed woman.

She has been given a job by the Goshen Trust at Moamoa.

Prior to her current role, she used to work but when she got sick the family decided to hire another person.

But now all her stress and struggles have been taken away because an opportunity has been given to her to work again.

A few days after her interview with the Village Voice team, Aiga said an organisation contacted her.

“I’m really thankful to the organisation that I now work for,” she said.

“I’m also thankful for the fact that your Village Voice team had visited families in villages back here and not just around the town area.

“You know, good jobs are not easy to find. I thank God everyday because I really didn’t expect this.

“So I got a call two days later after our interview and the manager of Goshen Trust Healthcare asked me to come over.”

She started training right away and now she is working.

“As you can see, I’m on my way to work. I start at 3 and finish at 11.

“I love my job and I’m very thankful for the second chance to be able to provide for my family.

“God bless the Samoa Observer and the Goshen Trust. Thank you.”
