Leiifiifi College to face Wesley College for final
Leiifiifi College Rugby team and Wesley College are set to go for the 2018 National Schools Rugby 15s Championships Under-19 boys’ grand finale today.
The final day will see two remaining teams of the three divisions Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 go head to head at the St Joseph’s College grounds.
The Under-19 boys’ division held their semi-final stages yesterday at the Church College of Pesega grounds after being postponed on Wednesday.
Leiifiifi College defeated St Joseph’s College in the first Under-19 in a close encounter, winning by 17-15.
Vaimauga College, who defeated Maluafou College on Monday to proceed through the second semifinal yesterday, lost to Wesley College 16-8 at fulltime.
In the Under-17 boys division, St Joseph’s College is set take on Safata College for this year’s Under-17 top spot.
Safata College defeated Amoa College in their semi-final clash on Wednesday, 22-18 at fulltime, while St Joseph’s College avenged their loss to Leiifiifi College last year in the grand final winning 18-8.
In the Under-15 boys division, St Joseph’s College will square off against Maluafou College in the final later on today.
