Yet today at Saina in Upolu, centenarian Anaseini ‘Tupou’ Mafo’e, is celebrating her 100th birthday. The matriarch of the family, Tupou, is joined by close to 200 relatives from all over the world, comprising her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, for a weeklong celebration.

Narcotics Act outdated, Law Commission says

The Samoa Law Reform Commission has called the Samoa Narcotics Act 1967 to be overhauled, noting that it’s outdated. This was revealed in their recent drugs reform final report released in December last year. The 163-page report says that Samoa’s illegal drugs environment is vastly different from that which existed in 1967.
