Being Informed

There have been many comments, verbal and online about our current series, ‘Village Voices’ from locals and visitors to Samoa.

The feedback has been positive with suggestions that we include similar interviews with some of the urban areas where village people have settled when they have moved to town in the hunt for work.

The diversity of stories and opinions of those who live off the land has been informative and enlightening for our readers as well as our reporters.

Offers to help those who do not have basic necessities like water or assistance for school costs have been passed on to the people concerned.

It has also been suggested that we interview our politicians and photograph them in their homes but that may well have been a tongue in cheek suggestion!
